FOREZA · Trust & Authenticity · Every Piece Verified
By FOREZA Editorial · Last updated 2026-06-04 · 8 min read · Customer Trust
Every order from FOREZA can be accompanied by a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity. This page explains what the certificate contains, how we verify each piece before it leaves our workshop in Guanzhu Town, Maoming, China, and how you can confirm the certificate is genuine when it arrives in your hands.
TL;DR
- Hand-signed by our Master Grader, with batch number and QR-code verification.
- Six fields per certificate — grade, weight, origin, batch, grader, signature.
- Free with every order on request. For high-value B2B orders, certificates are mandatory.
- Single-origin guaranteed — every certificate states "Guanzhu Town, Maoming, China," not a vague region.

What Every Certificate Contains
Six fields, no filler. Each is a verification anchor you (or a future buyer, if you ever resell) can cross-check against the piece itself.
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Product Name | The exact product as it appears on your order — e.g. "FOREZA Kyara Oud — Sinking-Grade Agarwood Chips." |
| Grade | One of the four official grades: Sinking-grade / Semi-Sinking / Chips / Raw. Defined at Four Styles of Agarwood. |
| Net Weight | Verified to the nearest gram. Tolerance ± 0.5 g. |
| Origin (Single) | The full address: Guanzhu Town, Dianbai District, Maoming City, Guangdong, China. Not "China" or "Asia" — a specific town. |
| Batch Number | Unique to the lot this piece came from. Format: GZ-YYYY-XXXX. |
| Grader | The name and hand-signature of the Master Grader who personally inspected the piece. |
Note
Every certificate is printed with a unique QR code that resolves to a verification page. After your order ships, the QR code is the fastest way to confirm the certificate was issued by FOREZA and that the batch number on the certificate matches the batch number in our records.
How We Verify Each Piece Before It Leaves the Workshop
Our four-step verification process happens at the Guanzhu workshop, not in a back office, not in a third-party lab. Every piece passes through all four steps before it is signed off for shipping.
Step 1: Visual & Olfactory Inspection at Raw Material Arrival
Each block of Aquilaria sinensis is examined under natural light for irregular resin veins (a sign of authentic, naturally induced resin) versus a uniform surface (a sign of artificial injection). The aroma is tested by gentle warming on a small electric heater; authentic Kyara releases a multi-layered scent — first sweet honey, then cooling menthol, then deep wood. Pieces that smell flat, single-note, or chemical are rejected.
Step 2: Grading into Four Official Tiers
Pieces are sorted into one of our four official grades: Sinking-grade Kyara (density > 1, sinks immediately), Premium Semi-Sinking Kyara (slowly submerges), Agarwood Chips / Slices / Granules (floats), and Raw Material (for hand-processing). The grade is recorded on the certificate and never upgraded post-hoc.
Step 3: Water-Sinking Test
For Sinking-grade and Semi-Sinking grade, the piece is placed in room-temperature water and observed. Sinking-grade Kyara submerges immediately without hesitation; Semi-Sinking drifts slowly downward; floating pieces are reclassified to the Chips / Slices / Granules tier. The test is recorded by batch number. See the physics behind the test at Why True Kynam Sinks.
Step 4: Hand-Signed Certificate & Sealed Packaging
The Master Grader hand-signs the certificate, ties it to the batch number via a unique QR code, and seals the wood in a moisture-controlled cotton pouch. The package then moves to the shipping area, where it is dispatched in a discrete outer carton via DHL, FedEx, or UPS with CITES export documentation included.
! Warning
If you receive a FOREZA piece without a certificate, or with a certificate that does not include the six fields above, the package may have been tampered with in transit. Please photograph the package and contents within 48 hours of delivery and email us at zhangxiaobao217@gmail.com. We will replace the order at no charge.
How to Verify a Certificate Yourself
Verification is a three-step process that takes under two minutes. We encourage buyers — and second-hand resellers, if you ever pass a piece on — to verify.
Step 1: Scan the QR Code
Open your phone camera and point it at the QR code on the certificate. You will be redirected to a verification page that confirms: (a) the certificate is genuine FOREZA, (b) the batch number matches a real production lot, (c) the date issued is consistent with our records.
Step 2: Cross-Check the Six Fields
Compare the six fields on the certificate (Product Name, Grade, Net Weight, Origin, Batch Number, Grader) with the piece itself. The weight should match to ± 0.5 g. The origin must be Guanzhu Town — not a vague region. The grader's signature should be present in handwriting, not printed.
Step 3: Email Us for High-Value Re-Verification
For pieces over $1,000 USD, or any piece you intend to resell, we recommend a free re-verification. Email a photograph of the certificate and the piece to zhangxiaobao217@gmail.com with subject "Certificate Re-Verification." We will respond within 2 business days.
